Maybe use a lightly textured roller on the brick to make it more realistic? Not sure how it would look, but it might work. I would also change either the color of the fireplace or the wall, they almost blend in to each other with so little contrast

Would welcome any thoughts on what to do with my fireplace. Someone used stucco to create a fake brick pattern and I don't love it.

The pine mantle is painted and the original (1910) terracotta tiles in front are both painter white.
