Need help regarding my life & critical illness cover..

When I took out my mortgage I also took out a policy through the broker for “friends life, life & critical illness” cover to an amount that covered the mortgage £100k

My policy has since been switched over to Aviva and I have no access to the policy online and when I have called they said “it will appear online” (this was years ago now and it still hasn’t appeared)

I have been paying £17 for the past 5 years now and to be honest I only really took out the policy to cover the mortgage if something was to happen to me..

Since then, I’ve moved abroad and rented the property out, do policies usually still cover you if you move abroad as I have no way of knowing? I plan to return in the future, but not sure when..

And also, is it still worth me to continue with this policy given the fact that I now have the funds available to pay off the property in full and have an additional £200k in cash to support me if something was to happen..

I am 33 years old and currently have no one that is financially dependent on me. And also have a really good health insurance in the country that I am currently residing.

Thanks in advance..

I’m not really clued up on the whole life insurance scene and don’t particularly like having ongoing payments to something I don’t need.
