Question about overwatch 2

Hello,

I had bought the first overwatch on Xbox a long time ago and I switched to PC and I was wondering if I need to do anything to get my skins to transfer to the second game. I read that PC players do not need to merge anything but console players do. I am confused because since I switched to PC would I be able to play overwatch 2 and have my skins transfer or what? I hope my question makes sense!
