Stephanie Laurens recs
I will admit it: I’m a Stephanie Laurens fan. I love all her characters (even the ones I do not find attractive). I find her world building really believable and I like that she doesn’t have too much ‘fan service’ like some newer authors. This is despite her sometimes too flowery writing, the ‘planes’ and ‘golden shores’ in her love scenes, the mysteries that are often too easy to figure out, the eye roll-y way she describes some of her male protagonists lol…I am here for it all.
I am about 16 books into the Cynster series (prequel, Bar Cynster, the twins’ stories and all the ‘in laws’ - the last one being Temptation and Surrender featuring Jonas Tallent and treasure seeking Em Colyton). I am wondering a) if I should continue - I barely remember the Cynster sisters and they are next in the series) b) if there are other books of hers I should read.
If it helps, here are some of my favourite Laurens books: -Promise in a Kiss -On a Wild Night -A Rogue’s Proposal -Devil’s Bride -A Secret Love -Rake’s Vow -The Truth About Love (the romance was fine for me but the mystery was excellent!)
