Apple should provide you with a ‘loaner’ laptop through applecare while your laptop is ‘in the shop’ being repaired. Similar to car insurance when your car is in the shop.
It’s a huge pain to suddenly go without a laptop for a week or two while you’re getting something fixed on it…
