What would Irenicus do if Sarevok's plan succeeded?

Okay let's hypothetically say that Sarevok's plan succeeded and Gorion's Ward and party are dead in the crypts of Candlekeep. So what would Irenicus do? Would he go after Sarevok then? One of the other Bhaalspawn? Perhaps a member of the Five?
