LR3 yellow light - narrowed down my issue I think

User Experiences

I have the issue of the yellow light blinking (slow blink). I've been trying everything. Every tip on the Internet. The worst is when it stops in the middle of the night when no one is awake to fix it... Then I realized that it only occurs at NIGHT after all the lights are off or if it's dark outside (bad weather).

So over the last few days I have tested this theory. When it's stopped mid-cycle and blinking at dark, I turned on the overhead light it starts right back up again! Last night I placed a little light pointing at the front of it and turned out house lights for bed. I monitored it randomly before sleep and it worked fine. In the morning it was also fine-Blue Light and ready to go.

Anyone else have this experience with it being too DARK for it to work and it stopping mid-cycle (yellow blinking)??

I'm going to run the light tests for a few more days.

I hope someone chimes in because I’m super curious how this could happen lol.

Not a litter box tech but the only light-sensitive sensor is the drawer full indicator - and that doesn’t trigger the yellow light. I think it’s IR anyway. Have you cleaned the connectors for the bonnet and maybe bent them out a little bit? Maybe your cat is a prude and just doesn’t use it when you point a light at it lol.

Mine happily run in a dark basement

Remove the bonnet and clean the contact points on both the base unit and the bonnet it's self, the connection could be providing enough resistance to error out the unit if there isn't proper current flow to the bonnet being detected with the current nightlight setting. The nightlight light sensor is on the control panel on the front to the left of the power button. When light is sensed depending on the setting it will either shut off the light automatically or it will remain off. In any event make certain those connections on both ends are shiny clean, then see how it operates?.

I had this problem - it would stop mid cycle during the night but would work fine during the daytime. Once I disabled the night light (sleep mode), it’s been working fine.

I'll try that out tonight. That's the only thing I hadn't thought of doing yet. Hope it works for me too

For mine it was the night light not working. I turned it off with the app and it worked fine besides the light. Ended up getting a new bonnet under warranty.

I don't have the blue tooth LR and the nightlight works fine on mine
