Playing Through Every Choices Book, In Order (Part 74: The Royal Heir, Book 1)
Hey! Today we try to concieve a child...and also the next ruler of Cordonia!
Disclaimer: I got so burned out playing this series that I decided against playing the rest of it for the sake of my sanity. I'll get back to it when I do my "wrap-around" and do all the books I missed/wasn't able to play the first time around!
Next time, we board a cruise ship, meet up with our siblings, and attempt to earn a grand inheritance by fulfilling our asshole grandma's tasks!

Review:
I think it’s at this point in the series that I truly began to experience the sheer effect of burn-out. After spending 3 books with these same characters, doing the same exact plot in a different flavor 3 times, and bare-bone character/plot development, it’s really quite difficult to continue on with the same series. I’ve even grown tired of the main 4 LI’s + Olivia, which is insane considering their interactions as friends has been a highlight of the series thus far. The plot itself is somewhat of a step up from the previous two, in terms of originality. No more touring, hooray! However, this book then turns into “What if Baby Bump were somehow even more lacking in conflict/plot?”. I know I gave Baby Bump a higher score than this book, but that’s because the lack of conflict makes sense in that book. In this series, its weird to go from a national scandal, to terrorists, to…have a freaking baby. Also, it's kind of weird how Liam just sort of expects you to say yes to the whole making your kid the heir thing (if he isn’t your LI). Like, what if M/C didn’t want that for her kid? Then what? I do like that for the Hana route, they distinctly mention a separate method of childbirth: it’s realistic, and good representation. Can we talk for a minute, people, about the “sexy” underwear the LI’s can be fitted in during this book? Hana’s looks lovely, but they did not put a sliver of effort into all three of the male LI’s “sexy” underwear. Liam’s wearing the outside of a Magnum condom box, Drake’s got on Christmas wrapping paper, and Maxwell is taking the quirky squid thing way too far. Anyways, the plot twist at the end of the book, with Godfrey and Liam’s mom, is neat, and I wish the book had been more about that rather than baby stuff. This book isn't terrible. It still has the charm of the rest of the series, and the characters haven't gotten worse in any way. Honestly, it might just be the burn-out talking, but I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy this book. My advice? Buffer playing through this series with playing other books.
