Teal Ballpoint Pen

It's much easier

for me to write with

any color pen

but black, the words flow

cleaner and brighter.

It's almost as if

The ink's softer hues

make the words smoother,

each one pouring out

to rest on the page,

all so much lighter

than what they portray.

​

Maybe it's just like

forcing a smile

just to trick our brain

into thinking that

everything's okay.
