I really enjoyed this! I know I've felt similarly before, wondering what happened to the happy, carefree kid I used to be. This is a wonderful reminder that you didn't lose yourself, you've grown into something stronger. In terms of formatting, I think adding stanza breaks after lines 6 and 12 would help the flow of your poem. Thanks for sharing!

the feel of your poem is so encouraging and positive and i'm glad i got to read it!! the rhyme scheme and style reminds me of another poet i used to read a lot, i think erin hanson? if you haven't read her work, i think you would enjoy it! :)

i love the last two stanzas, especially the last couple lines. the title is a perfect start and draws the reader in. happy poems can often be more difficult to write than sad ones so major kudos to you! thanks again for sharing this uplifting piece and i'm wishing you lots of future inspiration!

You’ve been trying to find your sparkle again

Searching day by day

But my dear it’s still inside you

It never truly went away


You’re still the same old someone 

Who you think you used to be

But you’ve grown up so much more

And as the clouds clear you will see


You pulled yourself through these times

The fine, the bad, the boring

But you never truly lost yourself

You were merely just transforming 


Don’t let the good times slip away

Waiting for life to realign
