Wow.  This gave me chills.  I'm trying to think through constructive feedback, but the emotion is just hitting so hard rn.

What a criticism on modern society and how far we've let our interactions fall in the age of technology.  And to encompass that with the political strife happening currently in that region of the world really adds a layer of realism for me.  Thanks for sharing.

It's a sign of the times


Droves of people wait in line


Drive to madness faking fine


On their blue-light screens 


Lies hardly seen 




Forced to their confinement


Ration out subscribed consignments


Pay with life for useless signs


Plea the first degree


Earns pedigree 




A massacre on either hand


Enslaved or Tiananmen man


All gather, now, to make a stand


Take to the Square


To make it fair. 




Gripping blue light candles


Surveillant blades mishandled


They'll televise the scandal


Come to the Square


Salvation is there.
