Referencing table data as criteria in Query Design.

Hello,

I'm trying to use items in a table as criteria for A Dcount and DlookUp but its not able to find it. Any idea how this would be done in Query Design?

the table data below is what im trying to use as criteria

[tblTEMPRAIImportReferralsReceived]![ClientResponse]

this is the iif statement im using in the update to:

IIf(DCount("*","tblAPPMatrixClientResponse","ClientResponse = [tblTEMPRAIImportReferralsReceived]![ClientResponse]")>0,DLookUp("CondoStatus","tblAPPMatrixClientResponse","ClientResponse = '[tblTEMPRAIImportReferralsReceived]![ClientResponse]'"),"Escalate to Management Undetermined")
