As hyped as I am to hear the banger boss themes & battle music, I'm also really excited to hear more on how the zone/overworld music will sound like
Now that we've gotten a look at the major kingdoms and their Mothercrystals from the latest trailer.
It made me wonder about what each zone's theme would be, and just imagining it made me even more excited for when the next reveal comes alongside the usual story & gameplay bits.
I really hope we get to see some moments of just Clive wandering thru massive landscapes & bustling cities accompanied by some amazing music that'll just make you feel all the more excited to play it.
As a XIV Player, I'm already used to Soken's ability to not only come up with some banger. boss. themes and battle music. I've also gotten used to him just making some of the most atmospheric & thematic tracks to a game's overworld.
Some key examples being:
- Ishgard's Night Theme
- Azim Steppe's Day Theme
- Radz-at-Han's Day Theme
- and many, many more.
But even if I've gotten used to hearing bangers from him on a regular basis, I am in no way implying that each new song he creates doesn't leave me speechless every time.
And while I do love me some revenge and betrayal in my dark fantasy stories, and flashy combos and hype moments in my action games, the music in support of them will help solidify that piece of media for me as a major all-timer that'll last years and generations to come.
And I can't wait to see if FFXVI joins that list.
