Vent about adjusting as a newbie

I’ve only been bartending for about a month. I work casual/part-time so my shifts are pretty irregular, despite this I feel like I’ve been making steady progress and every single shift I always learn something new or learn a better way to do things. My issue lies in socialising and befriending my co-workers, and I’m worried this is what’s gonna make me lose my job.

For some context, almost of all my co-workers have been working together for 1+ years, they treat eachother like siblings and are always joking around and bantering with one and other. They have all been trying to get friendly with me too, but I find it so goddamn hard to reciprocate, I just turn into an awkward mess and I probably just come across as rude.

I’m just too focused on trying to do a good job, trying to learn all of these new things, trying to be quick, not seem like I’m slacking off etc etc that I can’t get into the ‘zone’ of socialising with them if that makes sense? They can talk amongst eachother whilst making like 4 cocktails and taking orders and I’m afraid I’ll never be able to do that. This might just be an issue with job-related anxiety, in normal social settings I am 100% fine and can laugh and hold a conversation, but I haven’t been able to overcome this anxiety at work at all.

I’m probably just overthinking it, but I really love this job and I’m scared they’re gonna let me go because team-work is super important and I seem like I’m being a cold bitch. I’m sad because I’m thinking maybe this job isn’t for me afterall, which sucks because, again, I have so much fun at my job just learning the drinks and bettering my craft. Is this something anybody can relate to? Did the anxiety go away after a certain point in time?
