I Love You For What Can't Be Seen

Poem

Held captive by her glowing eyes,

I wish to never be set free.

Her lips are irresistible

and always get the best of me.

But eyes and lips mean not a thing -

I'm never swayed by looks alone.

Instead, it's her entrancing laugh

that makes me want to bring her home.

I trace my sight along her skin

and never wish to look away.

Her golden locks that shine so bright

can turn the darkest night to day.

But hair is such a fleeting thing -

the same is true for silken skin.

What keeps me so enchanted

is the beauty which she holds within.
