Do I need every single skill or just the combat arts, also any tips for owl father I can’t seem to kill him (edit) Nevermind on the owl thing on ng4 I killed him first try

You need every skill off all skill trees, if I’m correct there’s 4 trees. The best spot I’ve found for grinding points past where the red gourd miniboss is, the fire fat guy, there’s an idol not far past him, you probably already have it. Turning back towards where mr fatty was has quite a number of free backstabs
There 5 trees the 5 is just the upgrades for some of the final abilities and I used the ashina castle antechamber site and went killed all 4 purples then hopped down let the ogre kill the 2 red fatties, then I ran out back stabbed another red fatty and then another back stab on the spear guy on the bridge. I got like 30000 xp per run on ng4 also I just got the trophy like an hour ago
You need every single skill that is purchased with skill points. You don't need the ones that are aquired through other means, like Anti-air death blow or Sakura Dance.
