I'm not saying it's a 100% comparison, but of all the QBs we have had since General Joe, Drillbit Taylor compares the most favorably.
I’m a life long die hard fan and calm the f down with all this crazy talk about this dude. He’s a decent qb, and is a good backup but not at the level of a long term starter at all. Everyone just calm down he will show you that this season. The team needs a top qb and to get rid of that pos Snyder before they will win anything.
Why do we need a top QB? Which of the 4 QBs that took this team to SBs were considered Top QBs?
Exactly, Philly does fine w/out a "top qb" by building a strong run game and catering to the qb's play making ability. Add great defensive play and you have a pretty damn good template for winning or at least giving yourself the chance to win.
Seriously?!? This is why https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_Bowl_starting_quarterbacks Just look at the winning qb’s since 91…. You could argue 26 of them were top qb’s. Much different era, you need a top qb now. I guarantee one will win it this season as well.

Your count is off. Brady, Wilson, Brees, Flacco, Warner, Young can't be counted as "top qbs" and here is why...
Brady 6th round pick
Wilson 4th round pick
Brees traded away by Chargers who had given up on him
Flacco never considered a great QB coming out of Delaware.
Warner undrafted.
Young traded to 49ers by the Bucs after his 3rd terrible year.
Rypien, Dilfer, Brad Johnson... not top QBs.
Hindsight is 20/20. If the Redskins had taken Young after his 3rd year in Tampa you would have been screaming about how bad the trade was.
never said they were drafted high but they were clearly top nfl qb’s
so what you’re saying is that Tom Brady was drafted in the six round so now he is all the sudden he’s not a top qb, and still isn’t yet because he was drafted in the 6th round. Nailed it
gif
all i see is one of the greatest uniforms ever and then some wish version of it
No comparison
They are a lot alike bro
Theisman wasn't really that good either. This organization has really sucked at the QB spot forever now. And now that we are winning again, that will only continue.
Just facts.
He was ok athletic wise, but the team believed in him. Doc Walker was talking about it today. Joe didn’t have the biggest arm or the most zip but he got it done. He was a good fit for the offense they ran. Which was air coryell, the same offense we run today. the plays are different but the concepts are the same. Dominant rushing, a lot of pre snap action, one back and one H or utility back, or no backs. Quick timing routes and the occasional deep pass to stretch the field . A lot of play action and boot.
Joe was solid. He could win some games. My point being that it's just amazing how long this organization has struggled at this position
We have never had a true star at QB. Well, since Jorgensen at least.
So why do we need one? 5 SBs... no juggernaut in any of them.
The QB with the most SB rings, Brady, was a 6th round pick. Kurt Warner wasn't drafted at all.
Don’t forget Sammy Baugh! we peaked early at QB
That face mask tho
