Freshly Bathed Jewels

Poem

Here I lay -

jewels at my side -

freshly bathed -

quiet and dry -

and yet they glimmer -

in the twilight summer sun -

facets like curls -

red and brown -

purring like kittens -

clawing at my body -

they already made their mark -

when I gave them life.
