Powerbank doesn't appear to charge (BatPower PDE 2 P60B)

Hey all. A few years ago I ordered the above mentioned powerbank (product page) and I just recently found it again after moving. It hasn't been used in a while and appears to be about half charged. However, when I connect a power source to it via USB C (A to C and C to C) it seems like it keeps restarting the charging process. I assume that some part of the charging circuit was damaged after being dropped (it's been dropped many times), but I'm not sure if it's worth trying to fix it or even worth trying to break it open.

I had originally bought it so that I would have a portable power source for my university laptop, but no longer need it for that, so I'm not sure how much use it would get if I do fix it. My current carry powerbank is a XTAR PB2S, and I have an Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD if I don't feel like dealing with spare 21700s.

I guess I'm not sure what I'm asking here, is it worth trying to fix even if I might not use it much (or at all), or should I just break it open and recycle whatever batteries are inside? I guess either way I need to find a way to pry the ends off and slide out the internals.
