I want to write a poem

I wish I could write a poem that made you feel something. I want my words to glisten on the paper and bring my father to tears. I wish I knew those pretty words that look perfect on a page and describe a feeling so beautifully. But I lack the words to describe how the sun peaked through the clouds as I was driving home from work when I was 16 and how it was so beautiful I had to pull over on the side of the highway by the little Presbyterian church just to take it in. I can say how the sky was pink and blue and yellow, and the sun was orange like I’ve never seen but I can’t say how it made me feel so small and helpless.
