Just to give you some support - as someone who also has worked corporate life too hard, my interests and hobbies are sadly minimal outside the usual music, TV and video games.
So don’t feel youre alone in that.
Thanks for the words of support. I appreciate it.
You could buy some gardening equipment and start a business doing that in your local area, or you could get some nice outfits and start pimping your arse on the city streets.
That’s so stupid it’s not even funny.
Alright, I changed it to include an idea that might be useful to you. The city streets are a lucrative location though, I’d urge you to at least consider it
So, gardening or becoming a prostitute.
You do know I asked a serious question, right?
Although I don’t agree with the way this person responded. I guess the point is your post (although a serious question) is very low effort. No matter what we say here as a serious response you’ll likely loose all your money.
You should look to start a business you’re either really passionate about OR you see a pain in the market you can look to solve.
So given that we know nothing of where you live, what your likes and preferences are, what your community is lacking and a million other things. No matter what we suggest it will be shit
You know this type of creeps who wander around the internet trying to be funny and the complaining you ain’t laughing 😂? Well there you go that’s why nobody in the real world likes Reddit only only fan bitches and Otakus and some other hacker/ engineer so take it easy on this dumbasses 🙃
Lawn care. I know 2 different guys that started with a trailer, leaf blower, lawn mower, and a weed eat. 8 years later, they both have 3 to 4 crews, expanded into landscaping, and minor excavation.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Start flipping stuff
I also just started flipping about one month ago at first I started losing money because I sold items less than $10 and the shipping also cost basically half the profit or 3/4 of the profit . So it was loss for me or break even. Up to this day I know flipping is very competitive. It took me a while to find my niche which is japan. I basically import anything from Japan to the United States which includes figurines, collectibles, Gameboy games, ds games, hololive. Basically anything that is selling on eBay. While this space is competitive I do have an advantage over other sellers which is shipping cost(the cost to ship the product to me and the cost to ship it out). Usually a single item that weight around two pounds can cost up to $50 per shipping for world wide shipping but that price is reduced around 90% for me, so even if I need to lower the price of my products I can still make a profit no matter how small it is. So what I want to say is if you have an advantage over other sellers like me then you can go for flipping.
How can I lower cost of shipping ? This year it's very expensive
I have insiders at usps, ups and dhl.
Thank you.
Here is a list of ones I know
Thanks.
Brother, I’ve read the comments, and you’re being quite arrogant to people that actually give you inputs, tips and ideas (despite your lack of efforts initiating the reflexion). If you’re keeping that attitude, whatever business you’ll get in will fail, you can bet on that.
Be humble, engage the conversation instead of taking every comment as a personal attack.
Okay, so if someone approached you in a condescending manner, you’d just be humble? Or would you respond in kind?
You're on internet. Condescending people is the least of your problems. Just ignore and move on.
Not to mention that what you consider "condescending" may not be.
Just wanted to share that i listened to the audiobook "100 Side Hustles" by Chris G. I got a lot of inspiration here. Importantly it helped open my mind to explore a variety of possibilities! Thx
(Hope ive not broken any rule on this sub suggesting this book. Mod can delete if so)
Thanks, I’ll definitely check into that.
On that note, voiceover.
Although don't make the mistake most people do and think it's easy money, as a side hustle. It's an actual business, if you want to do well at it and actually be successful.
Good luck! 🤓👍
Thanks.
Commercial cleaning company with subcontracted cleaners. Almost no overhead, largest expense will be monthly business liability insurance. You can setup the systems and processes and then go prospect for clients. Once deals are landed can coordinate with your hired cleaners and then go into upkeep mode just to make sure bills are paid and clients are happy.
Thank you.
A friend that does contractors insurance shared with me that his biggest client does exactly this.
Sounds like the “commercial cleaning company” would know how to get bids and how to price services and part it out.
My questions are:
Find the name of a few companies like this and understand the services they offer so I can run quotes is the place to start?
How do I establish a reliable portfolio of subcontractors? I’d imagine many of them are great at doing the job but are terrible when it comes to marketing (hence the functionality of this model)
1000 posts that are exactly the same... 🔎 at the top of the page and look in history....
Well, now it’s 1,001.
Good one. You aint gettin no answers with that attitude. 🤡
And you aint making it in business with that attitude either. A 9 to 5 and order taking is where you should be !
Posted the same thing on like 8 different subs and you think someone guna give you the answer youre looking for and actually go with it 🤣 doubt it !!
I know I wouldn’t answer anyone’s question that way. If I didn’t have an answer, I’d act like an adult and move on. 🤡
With the amount of downvotes coming your way, im sure this post will be deleted by end of day 🤣
😂
Tree stump removal.
Seriously. Just had a hurricane remind me of what a pain these things are. Heard that some folks go on site with portable saw mills as well, you could probably do well turning precious hardwood into lumber for some people. Be cool to have the 80 year old walnut tree that fell on my driveway turned into boards I could use to make a table later.
Damn never thought of that. People also like the exposed roots as decoration. That is if you can pull the roots instead of grinding them down.
Thank you.
I have seen people have success with power washing. Set up a trailer with your equipment that can be pulled by a car or truck. Just start handing out your card. Concrete, siding, gutters. I think it is a low capital quick turn around kind of business. No special al skills needed that you couldn't pick up from YouTube.
Thank you.
Nice advice
Buy plastic extruder and cast plastic keyboard or something like that which has demand and pays well.
Thank you.
I started my Draft Beer installation business for about 5K and a credit card.
Thanks, I’d thought of something beer/independent brewery related.
Why are so many accusing OP of being the asshole when suggestions he prostitute himself are being given? I mean seriously?
You could start a SaaS if you're into that.
Judging by OP’s reponses here, there is no way he is capable of that. Doubt he even knows what it is.
What a complete asshole comment! Yes, I know what SaaS is. Am I capable of starting one? Probably not, but neither is most of the fucking US population!

You can also do data aggregation. This is what I done before flipping. Basically I made a program that scrapper that finds leaked database and this can include emails, password, username, dob, address. I have collected relatively 55tb worth of data. It took years of collecting and I had it up for sale all these years. But not until recently where it gained from 20tb to 30-40tb then it started to sell for a couple hundred dollars. This was done out of passion for data aggregation but if you have money to throw at this you can make some real money
Two questions/remarks:
I can’t say if it’s legal or not. But it’s data that was leaked through many sources like google and forums and telegram groups. One of my buyers made a service of it where it’s similar to haveibeenpwned but better. Another one I knew had a even bigger database than mine but half of mine can be considered semi private and some were posted within minutes and then deleted. The rest of the customers I have no idea what they did with it.

Thanks.
Build a tech startup. For example, launch a SaaS business - either developing the tool with code or using some no code tools
Thanks.
Start a small retail specialty skate and hobby shop. You’ll barely have enough money to put things in your shop but think, quality, not quantity. Stick to what you know and you’ll be better off to start. You can always sell it. Use all the free outlets you can to sell online, eBay, FB, etc. it is retail, but stick to the guns and focus on stocking, liquidating, buying… 🤷🏽♂️good luck.
Thanks for the suggestion.
What are your core skills and key interests?
Well, after a career that ended, one that took all my time and became my entire life, I feel like my interests have been starved. So, in short, I’m not sure.
What were you interested in before? What were you doing?
I was an office manager for a mid-sized company. I also was assistant to the owner, payroll admin, AP, AR, benefits admin, on boarding POC, etc.
With your background have you considered business consulting and coaching? It’s very lucrative helping other businesses wrap their head around what to do next.
If you understand the structures of accounting (AP, AR) and you’re good with processes (Onboarding) and what not, it’s a valuable skill, and people pay very well to get help in those arenas by competent people.
I’d be happy to show you some tools and give you some pointers. You could be off and started for <10k including setting up a corporation + lead generation and tools. Heck you could start with $0 and only begin to incur costs once you have a client.
Any hobbies? What did you like at school or college? What was the worst thing about your job role excluding people.
