People describe progress

As a straight line.

Ever approaching forward

With its unending march,

An inevitable circumstance.

​

But if I could go back,

Just one day before

The night we first met,

​

And were able to tell you

How much I love you,

To adore you, and to hold you

​

That my dear,

Is what I would call progress
