Lit you say?
Who’s the one body they’ll find in the wreckage though?
kanye. his controversies were planned to escalate and culminated with the adidas deal breakup.
his corpse will be found on a giant pile of shoes, as wailing can be heard trump gets down a helicopter in a black coat announcing he will officially run for 24.
at the same time, musk will curate every element of the twitter trending sidebar to be "trumpye24" - with ye's ghost being vice president (only way kanye can be portrayed as white)
whoosh
god fucking damn it does this mean we have to actually do work to defend our viewpoints fml i'm too lazy and a boomer for this shit
No, you will just get 100,000,000 russian/chinese bot accounts replying with conspiracy theories on your 2 like tweet Ü
Musk said he’s pretty anti-bot, so I think we know what he’s going to be getting the coding department working on first thing.
Oh so it's just censorship with steps. Oops sorry Mr. Biden our bot-awareness program flagged your account. You can reinstate it in 2 weeks thanks :*
I don’t think there’s any evidence to support that but sure. Could happen.
Literally put a goddamned captcha. Not hard.
Twitter is the worst possible platform for that. Voice conversations or long form writing are infinitely better for any conversation of substance.
Musk is going full Joker sicko mode.

any Destiny fan who actually doesn't want Destiny to be unbanned from Twitter? or am I the only one.
It's just you. He exclusively posts bangers, he streams less now than he ever did with a Twitter account. It got the people going.

Like a phoenix reborn the OmniLiberal shall rise from the ashes.
The thing is if twitter now can pull off good maneuvering tactic around content vs ad friendliness then other platforms can use that too.
Like twitter can create a marketing buffer so that relative targeted ads can be delivered without companies having to get burdened with association with user generated content.
Also another important factor is that we are in a perilous timeline right now. Even though updating both banning rules and content policing is very much needed, the whole ecosystem is corrupt and all parties will try to game the updated set up.

I swear to God if Trump gets back on Twitter I will go outside and spend a lot less time on the internet. I can’t handle that.
This is so gross the amount of hate speech and misinformation this lil racist is about to unleash is unreal
Will Twitter once again be shithousery circa 2012?
Don't get your hopes up too high. This policy isn't even implemented yet (it probably won't be) and if it is, all it takes is a couple negative news cycles focusing on some notorious nazis returning to twitter for advertisers to freak out and start threatening to pull. Elon lost billions of dollars on this deal already by being forced to pay 44 billion dollars for a 25-30 billion dollar company. He's not about to lose even more.
Nazis? Bro think of all of the ISIS accounts
oh stop, america is literally crawling with nazis
Why not lmao?
Exactly what about any of this process has given you the idea that Musk is approaching this whole thing with the intent of earning money or with any rational motive at all.

I don’t think this is an either / or. They probably just do the YouTube thing and allow advertisers to nest their content in spaces as safe as they choose.
It’s for president Mango. Not randoms
There is so much work that has to go into something like this. They would have to rework their moderation policies. A nazi will return only to get rebanned pretty much instantly. They will unban a couple of big names to get some headlines like trump and then the rest of the above process will go nowhere and people will forget.
are u ok with unfiltered hate being spread?
What did I write that could have possibly given you that impression?
its more about the way you wrote it
I think the caution is wise, there's so much unconfirmed rumour right now. He's literally just secured the platform, I don't think we'll see any major changes outside of maybe some publicity stunts or selective unbanning, for probably 3-6 months. Keep in mind he'll want to cycle out a lot of staff, they have notice periods, new staff need to be hired and acclimatized, and only then can serious plans for structured large scale change take place. People are going hardcore on this on day 0 which is crazy to me.
On the long term stuff, I think if advertisers are standing in the way of free speech then either a strategy will be created to appease them, maybe selective ad display based on the content of tweets. Or he'll start looking at other revenue models. This idea of the X app where lots of things are bundled together may allow enough alternative revenue streams that advertisers can pull out of the tweet side of things. Ultimately the 44Bn wasn't really to buy the business, the business itself is trash, he's buying the userbase that's where all the value is.
Do you think banning everyone who got mass reported by dumbfucks was the main selling point of Twitter? He probably isn't looking for a profit from this, he can rugpull 15 cryptos at once by sneezing. Him looking you dead in the eye makes your piss worth something. I don't know why it's absurd to believe that he's just looking to form an actual free speech platform. I hope it's true, it might not be, but this whole escapade would be for nothing otherwise. To lose 44 BILLION dollars and gain literally nothing at all and slowly recoup some of it over the next 35 years seems a lot less valuable than transforming the platform into something useful, or inspiring.
Bro, these platforms already exist. The problem is the vast majority of people don't fucking use them. 4Chan has been around for fucking ever and will probably continue to so long as someone on that site wants to foot the bill but they'll never be profitable or popular. The same is true for any of these "free speech" "no ban" platforms. Advertisers will avoid them because they're toxic to associate with and most users will avoid them because they're full of shitheads.
There isn't some glorious free speech revolution in the making here. Morons just haven't figured out that what they want is 4Chan and it's not popular.
As for Musk, I doubt he's willing to throw away 44 billion dollars to tank Twitter but we'll see.

He got to make that sick pun about let letting it “sink in”. While the former executives were fired. Can’t forget about that.
Tho personally I think he’s doing it for the free speech.
