NoP's TVtropes page is now past 100 tropes!

Followup to this:

It's a lot of tropes already, but more is always better! Now what we'd need to do is to actually start putting the more relevant tropes in the story on trope page. This way, we'll be able to attract more people to the page, and why not, to the story. Also, it would be nice to have a YMMV page for NoP, so if you have YMMV tropes to add, you can either post them here or put them in yourself, once the page is done. I'll start:

  • MoralEventHorizon: Kalsim's bombing of Earth, killing more than a billion humans, is the point where the readers stopped hoping for his redemption. By extension, it became a MEH for the entire Federation, making the Arxur of all aliens look sympathetic in comparison.

A quick note for administrivia stuff: The eponymous operation in 'Operation Blindside' has been used as an example for the Operation: [Blank] trope. However, the pre-emptive strike was never given a name in the actual story and I just came up with it for my fan story.

I appreciate the mention, but it would probably be better to keep the main page strictly canon.

That said, that could be used as an example of 'Fanon', or 'Word of Dante', for the YMMV page.

E.g.: Operation Blindside, the name of the U.N. pre-emptive strike against the Gojidi defences, originally appeared in a fan-story and has been adopted by some fans as the actual name for the operation.

I'd add it myself somewhere, but I can't get an account approved for whatever reason.

Yeah, I saw it, it was pretty good, I just fixed a few things and added more tropes.

I've added Nature Is Not Nice to the main page and expanded the Culture Clash entry. I'm not sure regarding the former and parts of the latter may fit better in Fantastic Racism or Xenophobic Herbivore. If you had any feedback, I would amend the entries myself.
