WoW veteran, new to FaB, need a few tips.

Question

Hello, me, wife and a couple of friends got into FaB a few weeks back. I have been driving them crazy with WoW tcg duels and raids for as long as I can remember and FaB seemed like the perfect next step in tcg territory.

I recently ordered about 3000 cards from cardmarket (no biggies, they were mostly 0.02€) and all of the blitz decks.

Was looking to get a few tips and pointers how to approach it. Are new sets fairly regular? Are boxes the way to go or just cash out on singles.

I love having a collection and making decks for inhome tournaments, aswell as PvE one day.

Thank you in advance!

James White has said max only 4 sets per year but so far we usually only get 3 per year which is nice tbh, lessens wallet fatigue and you actually get time to breathe between each set/play with those cards. Singles are the way to go but if you do fancy opening boxes like most, it's always best to buy a case of whatever set you want. Increases the odds of better hits.

Also the biggest question we encountered is:

Do defense reactions use their shield value too? And can you have an unlimited number of lets say spectral shield token?

Correct, defense reactions add their defense value to the chain and will reduce damage by that amount.

You can have unlimited numbers of tokens unless otherwise specified.

Defense reactions are added to the stack of the current card. If you attack and the opponent defends, you can add an attack reaction, they can then respond with a defense reaction. If you pass reaction and give priority to the opponent, they have a chance to add a reaction. If they do you can add a reaction after they pass. You can essentially add reactions until you run out of resources or cards. Whichever comes first. And you can have as many tokens as you can make.

Can you do reactions if you attack and your opponent refuses to defend? You get to attack react but allow him to defense react? Or if you want to the attack just goes through?

If they pass block, they pass priority and it goes to reactions. You can then add reactions, and it pass priority back.
