My Best Friend

She’s a sweet tooth

With a little bit of bite

Braced herself with steel and

Four times the wisdom

Observed my cavernous decay

Choose to fill it, chose to stay

Crowned by golden kindness and

equipped with sharp words

Ouch that stings...

But only for a second

before you realize:

She’s actually numbed your pain.
