How to use Axe? How to jungle?

First of all, I know there is a subreddit for this kind of questions, but I cannot find it, so if somebody links it to me, I will move this question there.

I am a new player, I've played around 50 games, most of them with Dragon Knight, which I know more or less how to use. I also enjoyed playing Sven and Viper. I tried to use Tidehunter, which is recommended for noobs, and failed completely.

Now I am trying Axe because it is recommended for new players and I am being a big failure.

In my last game against bots hard (humans vs bots) we lost, I finished 1/15/2, 265 exp per minute and 265 gold per minute, and that's mainly because at the end of the game when we were completely lost the bots stop playing for like 3-4 minutes so I could kill lots of creeps. I was level 13 when bots where around 15-17.

Basically what I did right from the start is to go to kill neutral creeps. I went neutral creeps from neutral creeps, all alone, base by base, it was very slow killing them and I died like 3 times alone.

Then when I moved onto lanes to help my team I couldnt take any of the enemy heroes 1v1. I feel axe abilities are very poor. Not much damage. I suicide myself several times not doing anything useful.

I have watched some guides in youtube how to use axe, I have watched Pudge playing it, I read the dota 2 wiki and another guide, but I dont get it.

how can I use axe? how can I jungle?

EDIT: apart from jungling I am also interested in how to use axe in mid late game

EDIT 2: thank you for your help, great tips, but too many of them, I dont know if I will be able to put all of this in practice... my tactics are very rudimentary so far.

I'd recommend you can do your own wiki for each hero explaining how to play him / her. dota2 wiki is very limited
