My thoughts are, if it appeals to you and you're proud of it, that's what matters most!

Thanks. think leave it as it is. I only write once in a blue moon. I read really good poetry on here so i was just nervous to say its complete.

I read "punk as fuck" and was like "yeahh, thats **actual** poetry" >< not only paints awesome pictures but has deep insights. very cool.

I think since you have the question mark, "The ones that have it all?" works well. and for this to be a workshop, your off to a great start! great title

i like how you realize that people who live in that state of peace have it all, I honestly envy them a great deal becuase it takes a lot of courage to live so freely, and while i live a slightly similar lifestyle in minimalism, I stay to myself and in my comfort zone far too much to be anything like them, as they have a huge community of people who also have it all, and share it amonst eatchother

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our [feedback guide](https://new.reddit.com/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), or look

I wrote an explanation earlier. Not sure if it makes sense though :S

**The ones that have it all are the ones that are full of love and peace and good emotions. It's the nurses, it's the people that smile and make you feel warm. The idea behind the poem is how the business man who is in control of himself will look at the hobo women at the train station (who is seemingly "out of control") as she's poor, a hobo and acts "erratically" but actually she is the one who "has it all" in terms of love/peace. She is the meek. The man will go and seek fortunes, money and things. He eventually will get old and to be looked after he will give away all his riches so he may take all the love and peace and care from these people, these hobo train women that he always saw as foolish for not seeking fortune as he did. But the natural order of things is that the earth (to a materialist - his money ... to the hobo - her peace) will be given to the meek. She always was given the earth in her soul in the

I don't have critique just confusion about the poem, can inquire about the meaning of some of the lines?

Thanks. Its helpful. It is very confusing.

I like that its confusing and open to interpretation but I'm not sure if it's "poetically" confusing or just badly written confusing ><

Ty for input

Hi I’m going to try to explain my feelings on your question but it’s hard. The way the lines stand, it’s easy to read it as “who are the lucky ones, the ones who have it all?” In which case the speaker is elaborating on lucky ones with the ones who have it all rather than asking if lucky and having it all are the same. Whereas I think “is it the ones who have it all” reiterates the question. if you want to emphasize the speakers uncertainty you could write it “do you need to have it all” or “does luck have it all” or something. This may be totally unhelpful

**Hobo Train Women**

Those who have it all won't go seeking yet
look foolish to those who seek
to find nothing

Who are the lucky ones?
The ones that have it all?
Of course,
It's they who will take all you found
and give in return
all they have.

It's the natural order of things.

The meek will inherit the earth
because
it was the meek who
gave it to us
in the first place.

This is my first post here. hi :) The problem I've got here is the line

"The ones that have it all?"

It should be "Is it the ones that have it all" but I don't like the way it sounds with "is it". Do you guys think I could leave it as it is?
