Women Suffrage

Question

Hello everyone, I wonder if you all encounter problems too if you want to enact women's suffrage, I find that for the most part, the trade unions, intelligentsia or the industrialists are against it, or do not really support it and then the feminist spawns in like the rural folk which you suppress the whole game and there is now a 5% chance. Are there like any event triggers that make this easier, is this maybe a balancing issue, or personal misfortune?

In every game so far I've brought it in then ten or so years later rolled it back to propertied women due to demand.

Unless the feminists ideology specifically permeates it seems the default highest level is propertied.

Once the feminism trait has spawned I'm pretty sure it can appear in any leader

I had an event with my leader of intellectuals(he was feminist). he made a good speech which gave me the option to make a random party leader feminist. trade unions got it and i easily passed the law.

also, don't pas propertied women if you want to have easier time passing suffrage.

Never managed to pass it, even in my most progressive countries. In my republican Germany, no one wants the law.

I was going to pass it, but church and noble faction along with industrialists absolutely hated it. Chance dropped to zero and I set about reforming the country. Anyway, I had an absolutely Rad population that wanted to spawn revolution after revolution, as I set about reforming the country and getting rid of the church and nobles.

My intelligentsia feminist woman leader in the meantime decided to become radical through an event(the one that radicalises your pops, leaders), became the president once I passed the republic law and because she was a *radical* instead of a feminist, she would not let me pass women's suffrage.

A more stupid turn of events Paradox could not even make up. Why the heck are radicals not endorsing one of the most radical reforms a country in the Victorian era could do?!

Anyways, now I have a communist leader who also doesn't give a hoot about the law and I cannot complete the egalitarian society chain.
