I don't understand detransitioning...
This is because the question rises in my head "Why would anyone detransition after fighting tooth and nail everyday to become the woman they dreamt of for years?"
I've wished to be a woman all my life, since I was a toddler, and once I learned that changing my gender was possible I went for it and never looked back. But it was still the hardest thing I've ever done.
It's gender dysphoria that pushes people to make their change, to take hormones, to undergo surgeries. Otherwise we live in self-hatred, regret, and a deep sadness. If you're truly meant to be the other gender, then living as your assigned gender is nearly unbearable.
As of now, It's difficult for me to not see detransitioners as confused, in denial, afraid, or unfortunately persuaded.
I would appreciate people's opinions and arguments on these thoughts so that I can better understand.
Edit: I want to thank the people who have commented. I know this is a difficult topic and I have strong opinions but, I'm learning a lot from your experiances and reasoning.
