Is there a connection between anxiety while sober and drug induced anxiety?

I'm asking because I don't really have any problems with anxiety while sober. But for some reason in adulthood I've started getting anxious when I smoke. This wasn't the case when I was younger at all. It sucks because weed used to be a really nice experience but now I cant be bothered.

and question nr 2: Does the thc % really matter if you just smoke less? I only have some 20% on hand, but if I just smoke less it should be fine, right?
