Income of $6,500 a month. How much can we afford?
My husband and I Net $6,500 a month minimum. For 4 months out of the year we net $7,000 a month due to incentives. (If there's 5 paychecks in a month then $8k+ but this is based on 4).
We will have all our loans and 2 decent vehicles paid off soon.
We will have $20k+ down depending on when we buy the home. We will also have separate emergency funds.
We have no kids but 3 dogs.
Bills: $80 Pet insurance for all 3 dogs $40 cellphone $400 gas (If we move closer this could be a lot less) $800 a month for groceries (this includes essentials like paper towels, mouthwash, dog food, etc) (EDIT: We will work on lowering this :) ) $80 car insurance
With all the different changing incentives and bonuses a rough estimate would be 125k gross a year, $85-90k net. We have 401k and good insurance.
Edit: we will try shopping at the Dollar Tree to reduce grocery bill a little bit 😀
How much house price/monthly mortgage would be comfortable in your opinion?
