Help him out, show enough interest and he might.

Well, that’s the thing, I’m the only one that would want it for the same reason he wants it. He spent his whole life building it and he never wants it sold. Part of me is worried that if it’s passed to someone else it’ll be sold and everything he worked for will be lost, something he would never want.

No one else wants the farm, but I bet they want the property to sell and get cash from. Tell him you want it and be prepared to pay something for it or make a deal to appease everyone.

Be candid about your feelings. Tell him you’d like it.

Go and work the farm, let him know your intention. But he'll see through your shit if you're trying to make some kind of move. Ultimately it's up to homeboy who owns the farm, and his perception of the state of affairs regarding his death and any subsequent dealings of his estate.

How can I convince my grandfather to leave me his farm in his will, since no one else wants it?
