(Spoilers Extended) Did Targs sacrifice their babies for dragons?

EXTENDED

"Only death can pay for life" is the mantra of bloodmages on Planetos. Dragons are also not natural creatures. They're products of blood magic and fire magic with a hefty dose of human sacrifice.

Dany's baby, Rhaego, in keeping with Targaryen tradition, was stillborn with wings and a tail. He was sacrificed in the womb by MMD to buy life for Drogo. Drogo and MMD were in turn sacrificed to hatch Dany's dragon eggs. Dany had no idea what she was doing but she was performing a very specific ritual to hatch dragons.

Given the high number of twisted and malformed babies born to House Targaryen, was this the cause? Targaryen babies are malformed beyond a level that could be explained away with mere incest. Sisterfucking doesn't make your kids grow wings and tails and rot from the inside out. It just makes them drooling idiots.

The dragon boom in the reigns of Aenys, Jahaerys, and Viserys coincided with a lot of malformed infants. Let's not forget Maegor. Malformed infants disappeared the same time the dragons went extinct.

Could the Targs somehow "bank" the lives of their kids to hatch dragon eggs later? Is this the institutional knowledge that was lost during the Dance? Were those inbred albinos sacrificing their babies for WMDs? Is that why future attempts to hatch dragons failed?

Targaryen babies were very noticeably not malformed post-Dance until Rhaego. Rhaella had a bunch of miscarriages but I don't remember any of her kids being twisted little monsters. Targs also didn't have issues with endless miscarriages and stillbirths from Aegon III onwards. This only changed with Aerys II and Rhaella.

Jaime also says that Aerys II wanted to burn King's Landing in order to hatch a dragon. Among those who would burn would be his grandkids, Rhaegar's children by Elia. It may be the same thing Aegon V tried doing at Summerhall. What are your thoughts on this tinfoil?
