pt. 3 of my mil hated my cooking until she tried it
Egg drop soup:
Simmer chicken broth in soup pot. Add Sesame oil. Onion powder. Garlic powder. Salt. A pinch of cayenne. White pepper.
In big cup or measuring cup- beat about 5 or 6 eggs depending on how much broth you've got. Or however you like.
Stir the broth until it makes a whirl-pool affect and pour in the eggs real slowly. It should make a ribbon-affect. They'll spin around in the pot like a big ribbon, cooking almost immediately.
Add corn if you want. I Add it. It's good like that.
Monkey bread:
Cut up some canned biscuits in 4th's Mix them in a bowl with melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Cover it with foil. Or dont idk which one is better yet. Bake it on the heat according the to biscuit directions but it's gonna need more time because it's thick. Stick a fork in it to check. If raw dough isn't on the fork when you pull it out- it's done.
Stir fry:
Broccoli, water chestnuts, snow peas or sugar snap peas. Baby corn. Water chestnuts. Beef and/chicken/shrimp. Onion. Garlic. Green beans. Red bell pepper. Sesame oil. Soy sauce. Oyster sauce. Butter. Fry that all on high heat. Cook your meats first. Vegetables second. Shrimps last or else the shrimp will be tough. You could also just use teriyaki sauce for it all instead if you want. Whatever sauce- do it to your liking.
I also make rice noodles on the side. Plate it, then add my stir fry and top it with Sesame seeds.
Chicken pot pie:
Usually slow cook chicken and then shred it with a mixer in the slow cooker. I add celery and those frozen i get from the freezer section, and I dice potatoes. I add cream of chicken and heavy Whipping cream or just heavy Whipping cream and some butter. Whatever you've got. Pepper. Celery salt. Garlic powder and onion powder. Whatever else you like. Let that cook some more- you want it to be creamy and thick.
For the crust I Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and crisco into a dough. Flatten that out and put it in a baking dish and I bake that at 325 or 350. Then I add that stuffing in the slow cooker to the crust and I add the top crust dough to the pie. Sometimes I add dough decorations like a braid and flowers. I stab some air holes in the pie and bake it some more until the crust is crispy.
Apple pie: I use the same crisco recipe for the crust.
For the innards: Skin and cut up some granny Smith apples and add melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake that. Idk try 350.
