Could you explain a bit more?
Do you mean seating positions?
Like using your PC as a normal internet browsing and workstation machine and then racing when you feel like it?

I got the triples on my rig configured via Nvidia surround so they act as a single screen, and have another single screen sitting on my desk for regular PC stuff. Switching is as simple as pressing win key + P

See this https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/xs827h/designing\_a\_dual\_purpose\_work\_desk\_and\_sim\_rig/

I had a mini itx PC, and used a wireless keyboard and mouse. I would carry it between the rig and PC. Only had to unplug/plug the hdmi and power cord. It worked fine for a year until i went all in on triple screens etc and now i just have 2 pcs

I used a Corsair lap pad and just played everything in my sim rig until I moved and had room for a separate desk. You can just swap monitor cables if you plan on having separate monitors on the same PC

Yes I have a desk to the left of my rig, PC in between. When I want to play other games/etc I plug in a 4th monitor and move my.keyboard and mouse over

Best way is to have an actual cockpit to mount all your gear to. Then have your pc/desk setup close enough to connect everything. Also have your monitor/tv on a swivel arm so you can move it between your desk and cockpit. This requires a good swivel arm and the cockpit to be close enough. This is what I did. I also use vr most of the time so I don’t really need a monitor anymore. Vr is always an option assuming the pc is powerful enough to run it!

Short answer, yes.

I have a desk with its own keyboard, mouse, and monitor. And I use an hdmi switch to swap. My sim has 4 screens, the top 4th screen shuts off, and my desktop screen comes up when I hit the hdmi switch. It doesn't duplicate the displays, which is what you need if you are out of display outputs.
I went with the hdmi switch and 1080 monitor because I was nervous to induce latency, adding a switch to my main 1440p triple monitors. I don't know if that would happen or not and didn't take the chance.
But I have 5 screens running on one pc, while only 4 run at any time. I have two mouse and keyboard setups also plugged in all the time.

My rig sits beside my desk with a wireless keyboard and mouse, and I have a program on my computer which let's me select which monitor is active. Works well for me.

Have an extension HDMI cable from TV to PC. Remove your monitor, put on TV. And vice versa.

Alternatively depending on your space, movable monitorarms / wallmounts are also an option.

The way I have mine set up is my entire rig besides the display is on casters, and when I want to simrace I just move my desk chair away from my PC, then slide my rig towards my desk.

Monitor is a 48" LG CX on an Ergotron arm so I just swivel that close to me and boom, transformation complete. Alternatively, you could just use VR.

I should mention everything is hooked up to a powered USB hub which I've attached to the underside of my 8020 rig, so only two cables go out of my rig, the power cable for my wheelbase & pedals, and the USB cable for my peripherals from the USB hub.

So i am going to buy a sim rig with a tv, and was wondering what the easiest way to switch between sim rig and pc setup with one pc?

is it possible to have a sim rig and normal pc setup with i pc?
