1. Yes, and I can even hear the di monitoring.
2. Yes and no. It shows up in device manager but not in a DAW
3. Yes, other usb inputs do work

EDIT: typo

hmm, yeah, I'm not sure what the issue could be. You can eliminate the potential cause by using different cables, but I don't see a clear-cut answer to the issue with the limited information.

* Does the Focusrite power on at all on your laptop? If so, do you see the green USB icon light up on the Focusrite?
* Does your laptop recognize that a device is plugged in (check via Device Manager)?
* Do other devices work on the same USB port?

usb-c straight into the laptop, it’s bus powered though? i thought it doesnt need external power

Maybe it's power limitation? How are you connecting the Focusrite to your Samsung Galaxy Book S?

I’m currently not at it but iirc it does have an intel processor, it also says it does on google

Update, it actually is ARM, thank you for clearing thks up

Does your Galaxy Book S feature an ARM-based processor or an Intel chip?
Afraid our products aren't supported for use with ARM hardware as there are known issues.
