I’m using an IO-link mag flow meter and love it.

Not sure I would want a mag meter with a built in web server that won’t be updated for the next 20 years…

I love it. I always thought it would be nice if every instrument was POE with a single industrial M12. Super easy wiring and all the data you could want.

IO link is close but still requires a master which is annoying if you only need 1 or 2 instruments.

Cool for when you need a one off flowmeter to measure something, but for bigger projects maybe look into ethernet-APL if you want ethernet and only one cable 😊

I've been saying for a few years now, that someone like Endress or Rosemount need to release a POE Powered Mag flow meter. Am I nuts for thinking that???

Looks like ABB finally jumped on board: https://new.abb.com/news/detail/77402/abb-launches-worlds-first-power-over-ethernet-flowmeters
