It really does suck to be wrong. Granted I kinda wish I could swap my Aether for Lumine since they don't do much but Lumine's at least cute. Canon traveller doesn't matter much otherwise.

That's what we are going to discover when the story advances, at the moment we have no way to know what that means.

And this is a nitpick of mine so don't mind me, but I prefer to call them the "traveler" and the "sibiling" since we can chose.

What purpose does it serve? It might be the same purpose for which sages loaded Cryno's data în Akasha.

It makes easy to follow their movements until a point that is. Like Nahida said she can't figure out what the sibling did after a point at the end of their journey which I suspect is when they joined the abyss.

It also dosent make them immune to having their memory modified by the changes done to the tree but I wouldn't be surprised if being conected to abyss, a force from outside of Teyvat from what we know give them some resistance if not direct immunity to that.

it seems that way. my problem with the whole idea of someone uploading sibling into irmnsul is this:

what purpose does that serve? it seems very arbitrary. also nahida says that dottore told her the sibling is not a “descender”. i do not believe we are given any indication that the fatui has access to irminsul, meaning they aren’t classifying the siblings non-descender status based on irminsul records. 

either way, it was a major plot twist and i’m stoked for the future

Aether is not from Teyvat. Pretty sure the implication is that there exists an entity that can fuck around with the memories within Irmansul.

Rukkedevata was "deleted" from the Irminsul so it can be speculated someone else could be "uploaded" into the Irminsul, and then that person would be treated as if they were always from teyvat. 

At least thats my current theory. But theirs no way of knowing right now, its meant to make us speculate and wonder and we will discover more later.

If it’s a toss up between traveler’s memory and what the rest of the world believes, I’m with the traveler.

I give some thought about this for a night. My theory is based on the Sakura Tree thoery in Raden Shogun part 2.

It’s possible your sibling got registered by Irmunsur during “timeline reset”, since s/he “1st appeared” during Khaenria disaster. Also it’s possible your sibling got registered by Unknown God herself.

No one can answer that question, we obviously don't have enough information.

If Irminsul is the data hub for all things known, and Greater Lord Rukka was erased from the memories of everyone in Teyvat by being deleted from Irminsul, then how is anyone able to remember Traveler? Since Nahida tells us that Irminsul has no records of us whatsoever. But that wouldn’t make sense if Nahida and all our companions can remember us and not Greater Lord.

The doctor is like the smartest person on earth. I doubt he would drop some hearsay shit on the god of wisdom.

For the first few questions, my personal guess is that what Dottore or the Fatui know may possibly be false, or that Nahida is intentionally lying to us (maybe out of goodwill or for some other reason)

This is because Nahida could tell whether Dottore was lying (unless this is disproven later on, and Dottore was actually able to deceive Nahida)

This means that whatever Dottore told Nahida is likely what he *believes* to be true, whether it is true or not

Nahida also claims to have seen the abyss twin's traces in the irminsul, but not the traveller. But we do not know enough about how reliable this content is as well.

This would explain the possibility that Lumine and Aether could still be siblings without any change.

Either that, or the sustainer did some real weird stuff on the abyss twin...

Also, not everyone from Teyvat gets a vision, so it wouldn't be weird if the abyss twin doesn't get one even if they were from Teyvat. There have been characters who could use elemental abil

The Abyss is a pathway to powers that many consider ....unnatural.

Seriously if someone can erase an existence completely from Irminsul it stands to reason that you can also insert data in Irminsul to make people think you are from Teyvat

I think those questions will lead to the reason why Sustainer of Heavenly Principles separate us.

I think it is very possible that the Traveler was removed from Irminsul just like Rukkedevata. It is quite possible that Sibling was added to it. And well… it’s entirely possible they aren’t actually siblings!!! Only time will tell!!

Just like how the record of our sibling become fuzzy after khaenriah destruction and also removing her from the decender list means that heavenly principle might tinker and rewrite the history which might also explain about the fake sky as scaramouche and el dottore mentioned.

Just like when we and nahida destory her oldself from the tree of wisdom where we are the only one who still remember rukkadevata

another possibility is that sibling the MC we met is a clone (now that we know dottore can make copies of himself maybe someone did it to the original sibling) and thus is part of tevyat.. meaning we have not met the real sibling... which maybe that is why the sibling we met is evil version...

If Aether is from Teyvat and Lumine is not, does that mean they are not siblings? Have we been lied to about them being siblings? If Lumine is not from this world, how did she meet Aether? How did Aether escape Teyvat if he was born in Teyvat? More importantly, now this makes the vision thing weird. In their stories it says they can never obtain a vision, but why can't aether obtain a vision if he is literally from Teyvat?
