Yes.  My best advice is don’t replace what you’ve lost but look to create something new and special.  I trust your past success proves you have what it takes for a brilliant future

This is really the only way you can handle it at this point. Just relish the good times you had together, and devote yourself to finding another terrific SD once you're ready to move on.

Heartbreak 💔 is proof of a life lived well.  Embrace the beautiful relationship you had and use the pain/energy as proof that you can find something new and wonderful.

So be in love!!! Geeze what the big deal.   I fall in love at least once a month.   The fact that I do it so often makes me not take it seriously anymore.   But I still let myself do it.  Breaking a sugar relationship because you are in love is just ridiculous.

Because of course if you’re out there getting your heart broken it means you’re very brave and very vulnerable and very alive. And that impresses me a lot. I think it’s somewhat rare and extremely special to have a heart that does its job.

I'm independent as all get out, so I would never put myself in a destitute situation, to where I had to chose between selling that new bag or making rent.

Are you saying that purely because societal standards or you genuinely can't see a future with him? Maybe I'm just romantic and naive but your happiness deserves to come first, societal judgements be damned.

I do love him and I told him. Funny enough, I told him right before he broke up with me 🥲 then again when he did. You are right, I am at least now at peace because he knows. But the fact that I love him doesn't mean I am not being realistic, and having a future with him, kids, introducing him to my family and friends etc is just not something that would happen with someone 25 years older than me that has daughters that are almost as old as me :(

If you’re heartbroken, maybe you do love him? If you do, please tell him you love him. 

That doesn’t mean you still have to plan a future. You both may still need to walk away from this. But for the love of god tell him you love him. 

A former SB I had told me she loved me even after she ended it. She “knew we could never be together” after she caught feelings. I was heartbroken when she left, but I will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart for her because of that.

It's tough when you get to that point as a SD. It's not healthy to continue to see someone when you want more and they don't.

And then crush him more because that is not what I want my future to be like. That is kind of selfish imo

Nope never said all that. No need to add you’re on perspective to my comment. Simply go with with the flow. She obviously loves him so ride with that and enjoy yourself. Whatever she’s telling herself that prevents a future with this guy may be reconsidered over time. Stop putting so much pressure on things. Hang out Hookup and Have fun.

I actually have a story with a parallel.  I got too involved with her life - started calling eachother bf/gf.  She wouldnt do some things she needed to do like apply for govt benefits as she has eligibility for everything and a lot of it being a single mother with two kids and a low, super erratic income.  So I had to stress about her financial situation - Im generous but not so generous as to take on the responsibility of being sole breadwinner for a full family that isnt mine with the possibility of extremely costly emergencies which happened in the past.

I told her it was worth the worry if we’d end up married but not worth the worry if we had no future together - which we didnt because she’s the wrong person to have kids with due to really bad mental health and developmental disorders in her family including tons of psychopathy in males.  Plus we’re just too different.

I think the guy did the right thing...he was falling in love and she wanted just to take him for a ride (which is OK, she was honest, that's what sugaring is about). She says she is heartbroken because she was dumped, she thought the guy was going to stick around. News Flash - The sugar relationship has ended. Everything from here is a downward spiral with this guy. The relationship is not practical, he is too old. Darn a 30 yr age gap!!

Feel free to read my last couple of posts for background. Just had an amazing date with my (29F) SD (54M). We couldn't have sex because of a medical issue I am dealing with but he still came over, gave me my allowance and spent time with me. We talked, got affectionate and drank some wine. Then a few minutes after he left he texts me saying he just cares too much about me and asks me if I see a future with him. I tell him no, for the second time in about a month and a half, but I say I still really care about him and my feelings are real. Then he proceeds to say he is just hurting himself by being with me, he started sugaring for the sex and he has fallen in love with me, and breaks up with me. I am so sad and heartbroken. He was so good, a true gentleman, affectionate, smart, handsome and I guess I was actually living in a fantasy too 💔

My SD just broke up with me and I am heartbroken :(
