no, Y is fire/flying while X is fire/dragon, so Y doesnt give a buff

I appreciate this post! I didn’t realize this was a thing with mega evolving, I must have glanced over it or something. So it’s nice to have reminders around events!

Just to let you know they don't have to be your buddy, but I'm mega evolving one too
I didn't know that. I just mega evolved him and made him my buddy because I wanted more XL candies to max him out.
Make sure he’s level 2 mega. Level 1 megas don’t give extra XL candy.

I had 2 level 3 Megas! I had a max-leveled Latias & Charizard! I’ll be getting lots of XL candy! But weirdly enough, Dragonite had a spotlight hour before and happened to get 3 hundos out of it!
