Anyone has a SD that liked to RP via text while he was traveling?

I had a SD who traveled a LOT and often I could not accompany him. While he was away he liked to text and we would role play through text different scenarios. It would be the whole day many of the times! I actually really enjoyed it, and we had a PPM arrangement so I was not compensated for these days. Honestly, I didn’t mind it because I liked the conversations a lot. How common is this between SD/SBs here? Would you expect compensation? I’m wondering how likely it would be to find that again. Thanks!
