Well i dont know if this is the best place to ask considering we are mostly all students. But im sure that doing leetcode will still benefit you in various ways. You are still practicing coding and making use of various common data structures. That in it self is a benefit. You also lewrn the ins and outs of your choice language pretty well, which is nice. Plus i have found that my leetcode skills have helped with some of my assignments and quizzes in school, so that is also nice.

a lot of them aren’t THAT obscure and if u can problem solve leetcode u can problem solve on the job. i didn’t really get it until i started

Leetcode can be a very low-consequence way to learn how to use various data structures and algorithms. No need to design a big project just to learn how to actually use a queue, or a stack, or DFS, etc.

In what contexts would it \*\*really\*\* benefit me to know all these obscure algorithms or data structures? I'm sure there are some practical applications in the real job, but I'm just totally ignorant.

Serious question: Is there ANY benefit to LeetCode outside of job interviews?
