**Bosco can not only vacuum for you, he can CARRY the foam gun for you.**  (Or be sent to fetch it like other carried items if you accidentally yeet it as you mentioned.)  With default controls, you can hold right click to charge your strength and release at a specific charge level to toss the foam gun with more precision just like you can do with aquarks, compressed gold, or Doretta's fuel canisters.

It's worth noting that cave RNG can make a lithophage mission easily 1 tier up in difficulty from whatever you picked.  For example, you can agro spires through walls.  If you agro 2+ spires at one time, you might face an essentially endless wave of pox spawned bugs in addition to the regular bugs and waves until you destroy both of those activated spires.

Imagine walking into a large cavern and accidentally setting off two spires at once in addition to the natural cave spawns and a randomized bug wave.  It can easily crank a casual hazard 3 mission up to a temporary rolling gunfight of

Bosco should be able to carry the vacuum and suck up the foam automatically. If it came with his normal movement speed punishment it’d still be balanced, as you lose his combat ability entirely. I’ve also found that sometimes he just won’t suck up the foam even if you ping it if there’s an enemy nearby, it’s like his combat mode takes priority over your ping.

Mightve had some really unlucky cave rng my man. Also never forget your scout has a pickaxe. When in doubt rock and stone brother.

Good point as my poor scout will at least be able to reach the higher spots.  Doesn't help if the tool is not in line of sight though.

Bosco can pick up the foam gun if you drop it, he'll carry it to you like anything else.

Had zero problems as a solo player. I just foam everything while Bosco electocut everything. After I'm done I just ping him and move to the next target. Overall it's a 2 minute job on haz 4

Disclaimer: I've run all of solo two missions with this, so may have missed some nuance.

The new event type requires a two step process - foam and vacuum.  That seems easy enough, but there are some problems unique to a solo player:

\- Bosco can do the vacuuming, but telling him to do so drops the foaming tool.  This can result in the tool dropping into a tunnel below, requiring tedious navigation to fetch it (yes, I know you get two, but the same can happen to the second)

\- Similarly, switching to your traversal tool drops the foaming tool, meaning you can't reach some high-up infected spots if you're a scout. I had to abandon the second mission because of this.

What am I missing that would make this less tedious for a solo player?

Am I the only dwarf who doesn't find Lithophage Outbreak solo-friendly?
