My stepdad openly admitted to not supporting me
Today, in the car on the way home from school me and my stepdad were talking about the (likely) possibility of us moving pretty far away if he gets a job that will have him earning almost 3x his current pay. He brought up that we would have to go to court with me and my little brothers (scumbag) biological father for them to get full custody over us. I already live at my moms, and my brother goes back and forth, anyways. It hit me that this meant I would be legally away from him, meaning him and my mother could sign for me to he able to start testosterone. I had everything worked out far in advanced, a doctor to see, an office close enough to our house, everything. The problem is that my mom is too anxious to let me start. Maybe it’s selfish to be frustrated about, because some people don’t have supportive parents at all. Its just that every reason shes had for not wanting me to start T, I’ve given her a solution to. But she wont listen and always tells me to stop talking. So in the car, I asked my stepdad “Hey, if im not legally connected to (biodad) anymore, and I convince mom to agree, would you sign me up for testosterone?” My stepdad loves me, I know he does, hes just very traditional, but still it really fucking hurt. “You know your mother doesn’t want you to, and I wont sign it.” “Why dont you want to sign it?” “Because im against it, I dont agree with it, I still love ya (deadname) but its not gonna happen until you do it on your own. Neither of us will sign.” And I kinda just sat, in shock. Tbh I dont know what I expected, mom always told me that he just didny understand it, but no he is fully against it. I dont really know what to do anymore, and even worse the place we’d be moving to is a place that I would definitely not be accepted. It just hurts really bad, I feel hopeless. Idk man I just really wish I had a dad that called me son. But this is kinda just word dump so sorry abt that.
