Winter tires for 22 civic hatch

Hey guys! Just picked up the 22 civic a month ago and am loving it! I live in Canada and need to put on winter tires. As the car is a 22 civic hatch sport grand touring it has 18 inch as standard. Would you recommend switching to a 16 inch like the base model or putting on 18?
