I went the further step to RHEL. Now we get 16 entitlements free, couldn't help myself.

That's pretty much my story - distro hopped for a while, settled on Red Hat 5.0 or 5.1 around 1997 or 1998, jumped to Gentoo around 2001 and stayed there for maybe 14 years, and finally jumped to Fedora around 2015. Couldn't be happier. Still use Gentoo, but mostly for servers. Fedora on every desktop.

My first Linux distribution that I tried was Red Hat Linux 5.1 back in 1998. I used Red Hat for a few years until 2002 when I switched to Debian Woody. I've been through a few distributions since then, but 20 years later, I've come full circle.

You'd love btop then which is the successor written in C++

I'm pretty sure this is it. Package freeze happened before 6.0 made it in.

6.0.5 was released not too long ago, try `dnf up --refresh`.

37 with 5.19 here too, on 4 systems. Not sure why.

it must be the fedora 37 beta that came out back in september

how did you get fedora 37 with kernel 5.19, i have 36 with 6.0

Tiling wms really feel like when we stopped impersonating windows/mac and resumed pursuing our own thing

On the left there's btop, a much prettier version top, on the right theres neofetch as well as some kind of music player

ncmpcpp, a client for the mpd music player.

On the left is btop, a process manager. Top right is neofetch, which shows system info. Bottom right is ncmpcpp, a client for the mpd music player.

What are these tools that are you using in the photo?

Yo, what do you do for battery life? I got a rtx 3050ti and while I want to use fedora, the battery life even compaired to ubuntu is wild!

I've Come Full Circle
