Should I see a doctor?
I'm very used to having to advocate for myself with doctors, not that I've had a lot of success over the years. I have IBS, chronic chest/sinus/ear infection, asthma, etc. But it doesn't always feel like it's worth the effort. Recently I've been feeling terrible in an entirely new way. I've been debilitatingly nauseous every morning, and I end up throwing up at least several times a week. I've been having terrible headaches, like crushing pain in the back of my head and whooshing sounds in my ears for hours afterwards. I've been dizzy and weak and I've fainted several times (sometimes out of the house, which is inconvenient to say the least). My nerve pain is worse and more widespread--I usually have pretty bad pain in my fingers and wrists but now it feels like it's everywhere. I've been spontaneously getting low-grade fevers. I saw a GP once and they didn't seem particularly interested, but ran a few blood tests (I haven't gotten the results back yet) and a EKG (I never heard back so I assume it's fine). I'm wondering if this is something I should try to push with them or just let happen and hope it goes away eventually. Like could it be something serious or just the usual 'my body doesn't work very well' sort of thing. I'm always afraid I come across incredibly high maintenance so I try to only contact them when there's something they can treat (like an infection with antibiotics). I don't have much hope of being completely healthy ever again but I also don't want to ignore something serious.
