Is it dumb to have a 4090 with a 60hz monitor?

I have a 4090 coming in and do not have the budget or the desire to upgrade my monitor. I am currently using an LG 32UN880 which is a 4K monitor (60Hz) which is making me ask the question if 4090 is wasteful for my usecase. I plan on gaming, maybe flight sim etc. I also have a 3080ti which I can use but I am confused. I apologize if this is a very dumb qs in advance. Thank you.
