Annoyed by behavior at a meeting

Hi Friends, I'm just back from a discussion meeting tonight. Sitting in front of me were two ladies texting back and forth and giggling. I happened to see their screens a couple of times, and they were making fun of each speaker as he or she shared.

This really made me feel awful, almost violated in a way. I was planning to speak up and share something personal, but I decided not to, I didn't want to be part of their evening's amusement.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go back to this meeting. Any advice on dealing with this situation, or even better on how I reacted to it?
